nice to meet you, I'm Cait

My Family

How I got started in Photography

I've always had a deep love for images.

Since I was old enough to find my mom’s secret stash of printed photos—tucked away in bins she always meant to organize—I’ve been captivated by the emotional gravity of a single image. There was something sacred about the way a photo could pull you into a moment long gone but still beating, still breathing.

After more than a decade working as a nurse, walking with people at the beginning, middle, and end of their lives, that love only deepened. I saw firsthand how fleeting time is. How often we long to return to a moment but can’t. How photographs become medicine for the soul—especially in the hands of the elderly.

I never imagined I’d be the type to run my own business. But then came the camera. I started taking pictures for friends and family, just playing around—and before I knew it, my community kept calling. Word spread. Hearts showed up. And I realized: this gift was meant to be shared.

When I'm not Photographing

Some of my favorite moments are the simple ones—spending time with my husband and our three kiddos, making memories that don’t require anything but each other. We live and work on my husband’s fifth-generation farm, and there’s something truly special about raising our children on the same land that holds generations of family stories. Between baling hay and feeding animals, life stays beautifully full.

When we’re not tending the farm, you’ll find us camping under the stars or hunting down new places to eat (bonus points if there’s dessert). I’m a big fan of quiet coffee dates, Sunday mornings at church, and a good browse through the shops—especially if there’s a candle aisle involved.

Why I love photography so much

For me, photography has never been about the perfect pose or the picture-perfect smile. It’s about the quiet in-betweens—the way a mother brushes her daughter’s hair from her face, the way a groom exhales the second he sees his bride, the way a woman sees herself, really sees herself, for the first time in years.

My love for photography is rooted in something deeper than art. After years of working as a nurse, I’ve cared for people in their first moments and their last. I’ve seen how quickly time slips by. I’ve seen families cling to photos when words are too heavy or memories too far. I’ve watched images become lifelines.

That’s why I do this.
Because photographs don’t just freeze time—they heal, they honor, they help us remember what matters.

And if I can give someone that—just one moment, captured and kept—then I know I’m doing what I was created for.

A few things you should know about me

I’m the kind of person who gets teary-eyed during first looks—even if I’ve just met you that morning. I believe laughter and reverence can live in the same breath. I will probably adjust your veil three times before we even start shooting, and I’ll definitely cheer when you nail a pose (even if it’s just you being you).

I’m a sucker for a good love story, a hot cup of coffee with cream, and a soft golden hour that wraps the world in honey. My favorite days start with my babies' giggles and end with muddy boots at the back door and dishes in the sink—evidence of a life well-lived.

I believe in Jesus, real connection, hard work, and the sacredness of everyday moments. And I’ll never take lightly the honor of being invited into yours.
